“Discovering World Culture Through Youth Art”

 In-Classroom Workshops

(for 4th-12th grade classes in Fairfield  and Westchester counties)

In this 60-minute interactive workshop conducted in area schools, our presenter puts students into “cultural detective” teams to examine 25 pieces of art produced by talented young artists from around the world. Through age-appropriate discussion, students delve beneath each painting’s subject matter to explore cultural issues such as the importance of traditions, the role of the family, gender roles in the world, how education is valued here and abroad, why sports and games are so popular, and other relevant topics.

Over the past five years, we’ve given well over 200 of these cultural art workshops to area school classes, and teachers have consistently told us that this “hands on” learning opportunity has a lasting impact on their students.

Cost: $100 per workshop (or $90 per workshop when two or more are given consecutively at the same school.) For an extra fee, we can tailor the workshop to a specific country, region, or theme.

International Children’s Art Exhibit Loans

(for schools, libraries, galleries, conferences, corporate offices, etc.)

We can custom design and loan mini-exhibits of children’s art from our 700+ art archive comprised of wonderful art from over 30 countries.  All pieces of art include artist-written descriptions and most include a photo of the young artist. 

Loan times can range from a week to 3 months. The loan fee will vary.
